Pianist, accordionist, saxophonist, composer and arranger, I completed my studies in piano, organ and composition at Conservatorio ‘Martini’ Bologna. I also gained my certificate in Musicology at Dams University Bologna. I perfected my jazz studies in several masterclasses and clinics with Enrico Rava, Paolo Fresu, Tino Tracanna, Danilo Rea, Attilio Zanchi

I founded, composed, produced and arranged the music for the pop eletctronic group  ‘Oz’ and the jazz-tango group Quartetto Magritte. I also recorded six albums  with both of these groups.

I have written songs for popular Italian singers like Gianni Morandi, Barbara Cola and Franz Campi, and I participated as a songwriter in the biggest Italian festival  ‘Sanremo’.

Rai publish my album 'Tangology' with songs inspired by tango

British dj Paul Murphy has mixed and published my song ‘Malanotte’ on his Afro Arte Record label. I provided piano accompaniment to the lead singer of the Puppini Sisters at several Italian concerts.

As well as playing  the piano I  also play sax soprano in the Alma jazz  big band of Bologna.

For over 12 years I was art director of a popular live club in Bologna, the ‘Wolf’.

I  am also art director and founder of the ‘Citymusiclab’, a national contest for bands spread across  seven  different Italian cities. This contest is sponsored by ‘City’, free press of Corriere della Sera group.

Since Sept 2008 I  live in London

 2010 I recorded the cd Improfive, with Manzin-Locastro-Pini-Mendolia

In London I performed with Brandon Allen, Quentin Collins, Rick James, Alan Short, Roberto Manzin, Enzo Zirilli, Ike Leo, Miles Danson, Johnny Gee, Hugh Burn, Cosimo Keita,  Roy Pfeffer, Bruno D'ambra, Francesco Locastro, Paolo Losi, Paolo Bassi, Lory Lowe, Ben Hazleton,  Nick Pini, Dado Pasqualini , Fulvio Sigurta'etc.
